I didn't take a picture of the actual cookies made (because I ate them too fast) but here is a picture of the trio of ingredients that make these cookies DELICIOUS and HEALTHY (you know, the oats).
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 c butter, softened1 c packed brown sugar
1/2 c granulated sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c flour
2 c rolled oats
1/2 c chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, 1/4 tsp salt, and, if desired, cinnamon. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Beat in as much of the flour as you can. Stir in remaining flour. Stir in rolled oats. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light brown. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute. Transfer to a wire rack and let cool.
*Recipe found in the Better Homes and Gardens Cook Book... I seriously LOVE this book!
